Photoday: Floral Still Life
This post follows on from last weeks flower theme and my mission to document the beautiful blooms we buy every week. Coincidentally Faith and I decided it was time for another 'photo day' and instead of going on an adventure we set up a little makeshift studio in the back room. After a morning trip to the markets we were armed with bunches of flowers and some fresh produce. How cute is that pumpkin? I'm interested to see what it will be like when we cut it open...
Today's 'photoday' conjured up memories of days (and nights) spent in the studio at uni, dare I say it, 7-10 years ago! Though today was a lot less stressful, no studio bookings to fight over, no equipment failures or going delirious from hours spent in a dark room with multiple lights flashing at you. If you've even been in a professional photography studio you'll know how intense the flashes are. We were even finished at 3pm not 3am as per uni days! While I'm not sure what critique our lectures would give our work, I'm pretty happy with how they turned out and it was a fun way to spend a Saturday.
